SOCIAL: Donating Old Mobile Phones

So if you're like me and have been keeping old mobile phones around 
in the hopes of giving them to a charity that can reuse them (rather 
than simply recycling at a Verizon Store or Best Buy), here's a great 
site, which gives listings on how to donate, or recycle, old 
electronics, computers and many other household items:

Please note that some of the listings are old, so call before dropping off.

Still, through the site, I found the Wireless Foundation, which 
collects mobile phones to give to domestic violence agencies. They 
also take non-functioning phones to use for spare parts.

And they have many drop off sites in SF and the Bay Area - I just 
brought mine to the Body Shop on 18th and Castro.  They gave me a 
donation certificate and asked me to spread the word. -JD
