SOCIAL: Anyone know Pismo G3s?

Hey all, 

I'm wondering if anyone has ever encountered a Pismo
G3 that shut down when idle for too long or had
trouble starting up. My BF thought changing out the
RAM and upgrading the HD would help. So, he did it
himself with the help of some online tutelage, but now
we can't get the damn thing to power up. Thoughts?
Feelings? Concerns?

Any help is mucho appreciated!
