SOCIAL: The Better Valencia Project NEEDS YOU!

Hey folks -

Imagine a Valencia Street with sidewalk seating for cafes, room for  
you and your friends to walk and socialize on the sidewalk, street  
benches, more trees and better street crossings....

A number of us have been working on improving Valencia Street by  
getting the sidewalks widened and other streetscaping and traffic  
calming efforts.  This is an outgrowth of community meetings put on  
my the Department of Parking and Traffic last year which got nowhere  
officially but tapped into a great community spirit and desire for a  
more pedestrian friendly Valencia.

Since then, Tom Radulovich, Peter Khory, Amy Tanner and I have been  
having a series of meetings with various city officials and  
Supervisors but the time is soon coming to do more - in particular  
community outreach.

If you'd like to be involved please send me an email & I'll put you  
on the email list for the Better Valencia Project.  I'm hoping to get  
us to take it to the streets in the next few weeks!  So respond now!   
We need your help!

You have nothing to lose but your small paltry sidewalks. :-)
