We haven't used this services, but if you're in the east bay, I'd suggest WAGES, http://www.wagescooperatives.org/.  they are a cooperative and they use environmentally sound cleaning practices.  

I don't think they have service in SF yet, but in the East Bay the coop is call Natural Home Cleaning, http://www.naturalhomecleaning.com/
