I keep the books for two small businesses- one in QB on Windows and
the other in MS Money (in combination with doing the billing in MS
Word). For my own finances, I use Quicken on a Mac.
Quicken on a Mac kinda sucks for me (but not everyone), and it
reminds me that being Mac user comes with a price- great overall
system on which not all software works swimmingly.
What I can tell you is that QB on Windows works fine. No quirkiness
at all- none of the shenanigans that the personal version acts out on
a Mac.
I recently bought a printer that came with a certificate for some
free version of QB (sorry- not home right now so don't know the exact
one). But whatever ver it is, it only works for first time setup of
QB and not for transferring over existing data.
