Hey kids -

So last night I won a new giant LCD TV at a focus group I was at*.
I'm very very excited & this means 2 things for you my friends:
	a) even better movie nights (this TV should be great! a 46" high end
Samsung)
	b) somebody can score my old really great HD for cheap (or free).

And that is what this emails is about:
I don't know when my new TV shows up (I presume a week or two), so
I'll keep my trusty 34" Sony Tube HDTV until then, but after that
I'll gladly part with it for:
	- $300 - that is the friends discount
	- $0 - if you work at a non profit or are a student/artist type

Note that It was $2500 4 years ago when I bought it!. So this seems
like a steal to me! My advice to you all is that if you have room for
a TV this big (and mind you it is big), and if you want a great
HDTV** grab this one from me - it's an excellent TV!

*Actually it was one that Amy Mueller posted to social a few weeks
back - Thanks Aim!
** read the note below about HD sources

TV details:

Sony KV-34XBR910
This set was the top of the line 34" HD CRT from Sony when I bought
new in 2004. Like all CRT TV's (tube) it tends to have better
picture quality than LCDs and is more power efficient that plasmas of
the same generation. It has fantastic picture quality and loads of
good features (see the links below for details).

The TV is in great shape and works really well. It has various inputs
front & rear, comes with the original remote & manuals. The only
reason I'm getting rid of it is that I won a bigger TV. I should also
mention that there is a slight discoloration in the tube in the
bottom left of the screen (left an unshielded speaker too close for
too long) - but it isn't very noticeable at all - seriously.

34 inch wide
26.1 inches deep
199lbs

PICK UP ONLY

& here is another picture (though not exactly the same model, it
looks the same)

NOTE: Also note that like all HDTVs, if you want to take advantage
of the High Definition picture, you'll need some sort of HD source
(an inhouse HD antenna - cheap but iffy, a HD antenna on your roof -
should work well, HD cable from Comcast, or an HD satellite
receiver). If you don't have an HD source, the TV will work just
great with normal cable, or normal broadcast too.
