SOCIAL: politics is a filthy business

I'm personally appalled...and yet I don't know that I really expected anything better.

So I went to the "Yes on 8" website the other day, i sometimes like to read up on what the other side is saying.  i was on the site for less than a minute - couldn't stomach the dribble I'd gotten myself into - but since then I've been getting "yes on 8" popup ads in yahoo and when I go online, ugh.  as if that wasn't enough - today's popup had a picture of both mccain and obama saying "at least they agree on something" and "marriage is between a man and a woman" as if obama supports the prop.  if you click the ad it goes to a page stating that all candidates and their running mates agree - with pics of palin, mccain, obama and biden and quotes from all 4.  of course they're only bending the truth because technically they are saying they all define marriage as between a man and a woman...more ugh...but on election day they are implying - heavily - that the obama-biden ticket endorses their measure. ugh, ugh, UGH!

the really sad thing is the quote from Biden, I'm guessing was said in opposition to measures like Prop 8

I guess there's far worse out there, but i still think this sucks!
I already called and reported it to the obama folks, but if any of you guys are online and want the screen captures let me know and I'll send them along.
