SOCIAL: Question on Screen Sharing with Leopard

Hey,

I just upgraded my computer to Leopard, and am about to upgrade my mom's as
well, specifically so that I can use the nifty "screen sharing" function
that is supposed to work through iChat.  But I just read that it might only
work for computers with web-cams (i.e. video enabled iChat)?!?  Neither of
our computers have web-cams.  Is this true?  And if it is, will it work if I
get a USB web-cams for both of us?  And....what the?!?
