SOCIAL: SOCIAL PICNIC and Earth Day

Hi folks,

As you may know, April 22 is Earth Day, and I would like to propose that we
celebrate/observe it at The Great Social Picnic on Sunday by reducing our
waste and disposing of it properly.

I will bring green compostable bags for used paperware and compostable
utensils, and I will also be bringing some compostable spudware. I'll also
mark some paper bags for recyclables. I hope everyone will help out by
making sure to use the appropriate receptacle!

Even better than disposing of our stuff properly is not using disposable
stuff in the first place. I encourage us all to BYO cup, plate, fork, etc.
(burning man style!) and take it home afterwards. I'm bringing a plastic
camping set that has traveled far and wide.
