SOCIAL: Cold Fusion?

yes, it is quite the topic of conversation at work right now....mostly
people who are somewhat sheepish about this news story.  very few people
knew this was still going on, though we all recall some involvement back in
the dark era.  although it is a step up from when we worked on telepathy
research....but not as impressive as when we invented the mouse and then
gave it away to deep's company.... ;-)

by the way, while it does seem true that people are detecting anomalous heat
from these experiments, it is very unlikely to be from fusion.  fusion would
produce neutrons which have not been detected (either by the experimenter
dying or other ways).  more likely it's just heat from a chemical reaction,
not unlike a battery.  however, it will be nice if we figure out how to
control hot fusion, which we know exists....
