SOCIAL: skin emergency!

so ...whats up with me trying to book an appointment the same day for a
facial and getting rejected everytime?...i bet its a cultural thing because
when i was in india i could walk in ...or call in and make an appointment
and get it done the same day ! doesnt sound like that is likely to happen
here....also which one do you trust and which ones do you not! are there any
cheaper places than others? are there good cheaper places? and yes i know
there is yelp...but then yelp is full of good stuff about everyone....so you
see that i am clearly lost in the skin care world! can someone throw some
light?
so this is what i am looking for a place which is preferably in the mission,
cheaper but nicer (tough combo right?) ..also if you have any specific
facials you recommend from a sun/stress damanged oily skin!
aahh...and thank you for being the social you are :)
