Sorry* for the SPAM but as soon as I sent that I found a Flickr set
that seems to do it more justice.

*Ok so my adopted little sister is not the only one who sometimes
sends to many things to email lists

-----------
In contemplating the cuteness that is Palak (she wants to apologize to
everyone by the way for the extra emails) I am reminded that this
March I have sworn on my life to finally attend Stanford's Holi
festival. You may have heard me complaining about never getting to do
any of the fun Indian things growing up - well this is the most fun
one I know of.

Here is what there website says:

Among India's innumerable festivals, Holi ranks as the most colorful.
It heralds the arrival of spring with the promise of good harvests and
fertility. Holi is celebrated at Stanford on a grand scale, with
around 2000 people coming together every year to spray each other with
color and water, and dance to our DJ's rocking tunes.

and here is a video (but note none of these videos show people getting
blasted by color powder - just the after effects)

So SAVE THE DATE yo! Saturday 3/28 from 11am to 3pm. Tickets are
probably around $12.

I know Palak, Aparna, and I are in......
