Sending this out to the group since almost all of you seem to have
iphones...and "some" of you seem to lose it every day!
Cheers,

A colleague pointed me to a new feature on iPhone 3.0 with Mobile Me.

Nice features - Ability to override silent and leave a message on the lock
screen.

One feature we have wanted to add to the phones that we have concepted and
designed over the last few years, is to be able to find your phone and to
disable it if it is lost. As GPS became more prevalent and products like
zoombak hit the market it seemed like a valid feature.
One of the *21 apps Apple doesn't want on your iPhone* in the InfoWorld
article does just that. And there is an Android tutorial that uses SMS to
get the coordinates of your phone - http://www.helloandroid.com/node/159. So
it looks like a valid feature that could become table stakes before long.

FindMyi
Tracks your iPhone location in the background. If you've ever misplaced your
iPhone, you know the deep pit of fear that can instantly envelope you,
especially if your phone was on silent ring. Allay that fear with *FindMyi*,
which employs GPS and cell site triangulation to track the location of your
phone at programmable intervals. The program hides itself once enabled,
running in the background. You can view your phone's location at any time,
as well as its traveling history, via a paid subscription to the FindMyi Web
site. If you believe your phone is stolen, you can recover data and lock the
phone. *$2 per month
