SOCIAL: the big question

I had Nextel/Sprint and the coverage was poor in the East Bay, including my
house. I couldn't make/take a call reliably at home. Also trouble spots on
580 near the Grand Lake Theater and at Park & MacArthur. And as far as out
in the world goes, when I was at Lake Mead a few years ago my husband's
Verizon phone had great reception, and I had zip. I now have Verizon too and
am much happier. No idea on what smartphone uses their network, tho. I'll be
sticking with a 'regular' phone for a while.
I briefly tried an iPhone last year and didn't dig the audio quality when
using it as a phone (which is the point, isn't it?). Some apps were very
useful. But also had very poor coverage in my house--couldn't get onto my
wireless network and 3G was spotty. Maybe they are better now.

Sprint sucked in our mission apartment. Haven't entirely seen if at&t
is any better yet
