SOCIAL: Coffee Recommendations

Thank you all for your recommendations!
Between SOCIAL and Facebook, I feel very well versed on my coffee options. I'm leaning towards De La Paz, since it's as local as it gets (and I'm going to Bi-Rite tonight anyway to pick up their new Nicoise Tuna sandwich--one o' the best sandwiches I"ve ever had), and I'll get a grinder, too (or experiment with my blender for now), as someone suggested, for optimum freshness. I made a list and look forward to trying everything that was recommended, in time.
Thanks again!

I like De La Paz too. it is roasted in the Mission, and delivered to stores on bicycle by the lovely Greg Rodgers. Bi-Rite sells whole bean coffee, and they have a nice grinder so you can grind it as fine, or as coarse, as you like.

I agree, I've become a fan of De La Paz - and if you ask NICELY and become a regular customer, they will deliver to your door via bicicleta! -s

I was wondering if you guys could recommend your favorite coffee to me (for making caffeinated mochas, for instance), and where the best place to buy them is (where they would "coarse grind" it for me, as well).
