SOCIAL: volunteers needed

I'm looking for volunteers to help with Rebuilding Together's 20th Anniversary celebration and benefit on October 17. We need the following positions filled. Most of the shifts are about 2
hours which leaves a few hours of party time too! If you're interested, drop me a line and I can give you details.

Table Set up
12:30 – 3:30
Set up bar tables on first floor,
low tables and chairs on second floor, place linens on all tables, set up food
booth tables.
Place centerpieces on all
tables.
Set up bus stations
with trays or bus tubs.
Silent Auction
6:30 – 9:00
4 people:
Set up all final items on silent
auction tables. Stand at silent auction tables to monitor goods, make sure
proper bids are being made, tables are neat. Encourage bidding and answer
questions. Return at 10:30 to help close down silent
auction
2 people: sit at Silent
Auction registration table to sign in auction
donors
Silent Auction
9:00 – 11:30
4 people:
Stand at silent auction tables to

answer questions.
Break down silent auction table and
bring all items to registration desk. pull bid sheets when auction ends. Review
sheets for accuracy and proper bids. Circle winning bids. bring all bid sheets
to registration table
. 2 people: sit at Silent Auction registration
table to sign in auction donors

Table 6:30 – 9:00
Check in guests, check name against
register. Hand out programs, answer questions. Need two additional people to
stamp hands.

Check in guests, check name against
register. Hand out programs, answer questions. Need two additional people to

Late shift helps set up silent
auction cashier.
Silent Auction
Cashiers, 11:00 – 12:00
Process winning bids for silent
auction. Run credit cards, hand out auction items.
Food Servers
6:30 – 9:30
Each server is assigned to one food
booth. Set up food and stay at booth to make sure area is neat and clean.
Clear any dirty dishes left on counter. Monitor sterno and chafing dish if
provided.
Break down food booth when food is
gone. (probably finished by 9:00)
Clean up 7:00 –
9:30
Walk around the entire event space
to pick up dirty dishes and napkins. Dishes go to bus stations, napkins in
trash.
Monitor bus stations and empty trays
when needed.
Clean up 9:30 –
11:30
