That's exciting that there are so many more options this year!  We are going to watch at Triple Crown on Market near Octavia.  Also Martin Macks on Haight Street is where we watched four years ago.

My favorite sporting event is beginning this week: the World Cup.

The opening US game (US v England) is being shown Saturday, June 12,
at AT&T park. The kick-off is at 11:30, doors to the stadium open at

If you would like to join up with Liz and I, meet at the Willie statue
at 10:45am. Not sure what to expect in terms of numbers of people at
the stadium. The game is being put on the center screen and all the
small TVs around the stadium.

If you want/need to come later, then just let me know and we'll try
and save seats (and we'll trade cell phone numbers)
Current forecast for Saturday weather is in the 80s!

P.S. There is also a Giants "county fair" being held outside the
ballpark that day, next to McCovey cove with rides and such.

P.P.S. This year there are more options for watching the matches out
in a crowd. The other option for outdoor with large group viewing is
the Civic Center plaza.

P.P.P.S if you are interested in watching weekday matches LMK (Being
held in South Africa, the games are at 7am and 11:30)... This friday
it starts with Mexico v South Africa at 7am. Not sure where I will be
viewing yet. Maybe Caffee Trieste at Market and Gough. Other
suggestions welcome...
