SOCIAL: bp cleanup

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is helping out with some research. They also
reference a couple of bird and wildlife rescue organizations that are also
involved and could use support - Oiled Wildlife Care Network and Int'l Bird
Rescue and Research Center. Some details are here:

Audubon and others seem to be referring to them for the in the groud work
being done. 

 

As to cleaning up beaches of oil I'm not sure. I'd expect bp, state and Feds
to be doing that work. But you might look for local orgs doing wetland and
beach conservation work.
