SOCIAL: a brief note: I LOVE YOU PEOPLE!

Dear SOCIAL -

I love you.  Seriously.  You make my life better in SO MANY WAYS and you make each other's lives better in so many ways.  Lately I've been struck by this over and over again.  From Bob's death, to Palak's recent questions, to invites to the World Cup & rooms for rent, to political organizing, to tech support- you guys shine. 

In the coming months, I'll be endeavoring to increase the level of direct contact between SOCIAL peoples (so that I'm less of a hub, and more of just another node) in a few ways - but the biggest will be the SOCIAL picnic later this summer.  In the mean time keep on keepin' on.

One thing I've noticed is that some of you post more advice and request type stuff to SOCIAL than invites - that's great & another FABULOUS function of SOCIAL, but I'd like to remind you that these people are all great people to INVITE to your little soiree's and the like too - they wouldn't be on the list if I didn't vouch for them & say "yeah invite 'em over :-)"  I realize that this makes sense & that you'll meet each other more over time, but just know that there are a wealth of GREAT people at your fingertips here.  I'm honestly in stunned by how much you guys rock & how lucky we all are to know each other.
