SOCIAL: biking OC to SD

Happy Sunday, Deepsters,

Has anyone in Deepistan any experience in biking SoCal?On Tuesday, I plan to
Amtrak it, and bicycle the rest of the trip from Orange County to San Diego.


I've been reading blogs of folks who have done it, suggesting bike paths and
stuff to look out for.

Also, my bike, which I often use all around town, will get a tune up before
my trip... however...

I'm also (this is a long shot) wondering if any one else has something
suitable for long distances, with a rack, etc. they'd be willing to loan me.


I'm looking for a sturdy one for me *a girl* about 5'7 tall.

Mostly I'm looking for suggestions on the route, but an offer for a bike
would be really helpful. Thanks!

*pictures of your bike along the pacific coast highway and in front of my
