SOCIAL: Update on DPMN and Bobsey

For those who know Bobsey, you know that he was a major contributor to
Dolores Park Movie Night.  We've been struggling with whether to continue on
with the event or cancel this month.  After agonizing over what to do, it
became clear that it was not the event itself that was causing some of us
such pain.  For those of us closest to Bob, it was not having him at the
event that would make it almost unbearable to try to take part.  So I
personally decided that this month the event can, and really should,
continue without me and a few others.  My latest understanding is that it
will continue, possibly in the original form.

So the reason I'm sending this is to remind people who know Bobsey that the
film originally selected covers some extremely sensitive subjects related to
his recent passing.  This is not something I could handle right now, and
many of you may feel the same way.  I've left the decision on whether to
show that movie to others, mainly because the reason I will likely not
attend tomorrow is *not* because I'm offended by the showing of the film,
but because I cannot handle the pain of being there so soon after his
passing.  Most of the people who come to DPMN probably don't even know any
one of the DPMN crew, including Bobsey, and so they likely would not take
offense at the sensitive subject matter.

I'm not sure my message is sufficiently clear, so if you are wondering what
I'm trying to say, feel free to ask me directly.
