SOCIAL: local shredding service for home?

I recently looked into this for my office and here is a summary of the different options that I got from talking to the Destruction and Shredding guys (their parent company is SF Recology).



Recurring pickup:

Minimum is $65 for a small businesses (covers first 200 lbs, then each

additional pound is $18), minimum interval is every 6 weeks.  Not sure if they have a residential option for this.



One Time Pick Up (Purge): $85 for first 300 lbs and 18 cents per pound after that.  Pretty sure it doesn't matter if it is a home or office.



Pre-paid boxes: For $40/box they send you a 30 pound bankers box with a prepaid return label UPS label.  But you have to then take it to the UPS store to mail them, which makes the next option seem like a better deal.



Drop off: You can go to their location at 501 Tunnel Ave. (close to Candlestick Park) and they will only charge $25 for the first hundred pounds and 25 cents for each additional pound.  This is the cheapest option, save getting a shredder and doing the shredding/recycling yourself.

Also, they are very committed to the recycling part (I grilled them about this).
