So, some jerky thief jerk stole my front license plate, apparently a few weeks ago and i didn't notice until this weekend when i received two separate notices for unpaid parking tickets. They were on Eddy and Taylor respectively. So it would appear that my plate is sitting on a most likely stolen vehicle in the TL. Nice.

So I check the DPT records and see that there are $490 worth of tickets piled up. Nice. I go to the DMV this morning forgetting that it's Columbus day, then realize the DPT is closed too. Nice.

I call the police, who kindly never close, and I'm going to go in and make a statement later this evening so i can get the theft documented as soon as possible, because likely the tickets will start piling up again tomorrow. I will go to the DMV and call the DPT tomorrow but just trying to get a head start on preparing for the bureaucracy.

Because the first ticket was on 9/17 and I didn't notice until this weekend I'm afraid I'm going to have to pay these fees. I've been trying to figure out what kind of evidence I need to gather to prove that these tickets were not for my car. Has anyone else gone through this and, if so, do you have any helpful hints?

trying to find compassion for thieving jerky jerks but just coming up with hate,
becca
