SOCIAL: Looking for a Housemate...

    Dear Friends,
   
  One of my housemates, Pilar, just got engaged!  Since she will be shortly moving in with her fiancé, there will be a room opening up in my apartment. The move-in date could be as early as Feb 1, and as late as Feb 15. We are going to post the room on Craigslist this weekend, but I wanted to get the announcement out to friends first
 
   
  It’s a wonderful, bright newly-remodeled apartment in a very central location. The room is large and quiet with hardwood floors...The two other housemates (other than me) are Valerie and Samantha, who work for Global Exchange and Greenpeace respectively. Although there are four bedrooms total, the place never feels crowded because we are all busy, many of us have partners, etc. 
   
  If you or someone you know is looking for a new place to call home, please call me. I’m including the "public" announcement that has more details below...

  Large Room in Victorian Flat Available February 1st Near Church/Market 
  (Move in date flexible, negotiable to Feb 15.)

The people: Samantha, Cat, and Valerie - three women in their mid-to-late-20s
 activists, artists, dancers, music-lovers
 We’re all very busy, but we like to be able to relax when at home. We’re looking for someone, male or female, who is open-minded, easy going, etc. etc. Bonus points if you are musician because you will be sharing a wall with our resident singer/songwriter Valerie, who likes to practice when she is home (which is rare unfortunately
).

The apartment: Victorian-style flat, big kitchen with all new appliances, huge living room with bay windows that bring loads of light and make you wish you were a cat curled-up in the windowsill, and hardwood floors throughout... Plus, the entire apartment was remodeled right before we moved in December of 04. 

The neighborhood: Location, location, location. Probably one of the most central blocks in the City. We are at the edge of the Castro and right near the Mission, on Church near Market. Muni lines J, K, L, M, N, 22 and more. 

The room: Beautiful, large, and quiet room in the back of the house. The room has hardwood floors, a fireplace mantle, and cool built-in cabinets. There’s no closet, but ample space for an armoire. $745 + utilities. The room will be available Feb 1, but we are willing to allow a move-in as late as Feb 15
 Move-in cost will be 1 months rent + deposit (rent is plus $50).
