SOCIAL: Short-term job Opportunity

 Hi All,

A friend of mine, Sarah Minor, works for the Mayor's Youth Employment and Education Program and is looking for an individual to facilitate a four to five day intensive course (4/10-4-14) designed to teach basic business and entrepreneurial skills to under-served high-school students.  15-18 MYEEP youth will break into “companies” to design, manufacture and sell a number of products.  In addition, they will develop marketing materials, including TV commercials, to help promote their products. Local business leaders and salesforce.com volunteers will be onsite to give students guidance and support on everything from raising money to advertising and selling their products effectively.  The week-long program will culminate with a “market day” where the students will sell their merchandise in a public venue, taking home with them the actual profits they earn.
