SOCIAL: Help finding whether organization is solid or not

Hello everyone,

Could anyone guide me in finding out more about the Kairos Foundation and
its "More to Life" courses?

Am acquaintance working for them as a volunteer has asked me to help in
distributing their posters in my neighborhood.  It's about a free event: a
seminar entitled "Learning to Move from Overwhelm to Possibility."

This sounds like some inspirational-talk seminar which, who knows, might be
interesting.  The thing that bugs me though is that the poster also says
that information will be available about an upcoming course to be held in
November in Oakland.  The web-site doesn't give much concrete information
about that course besides the fact that it costs $495 for a 2 1/2 day
seminar.

My initial (and admittedly skeptical) sense tells me that this organization
is not very solid (no references to any books, reports, articles, etc.), and
that this initial event is only a recruiting event for the expensive later
seminar.  At the moment, I'm not thrilled about distributing those
posters...
