So...I feel like this is wrong to post a job from a friend up in the Seattle
area to the Social crowd, who we'd all prefer to keep here in the Bay
Area...but then again, if someone needs a job....

*JOB TITLE:  Software Engineer*

*Job Description*:

This position involves the planning, specification, creation of software
solutions, upgrades, and revisions related to our light and color
measurement systems.  This is a position which requires expert level
programming skills, superior organizational skills, and strong communication
skills.  The ideal candidate will have advanced programming skills using the
Visual Studio environment, familiarity with the practical and theoretical
aspects of light measurement, experience with optical engineering software,
and experience with software control of scientific hardware.

*Primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:*

   - Development of new software solutions utilizing our light measurement
   systems
   - Implementation of software projects including specification, time
   tracking, progress tracking, testing, and release
   - Organization and maintenance of all software solutions at Radiant
   - Review latest programming methods and technologies and work with
   development team to implement those that are appropriate
   - Documentation of software and releases
   - Traveling to install and train customers in our software and hardware
   products
   - Providing a technical reference for product support team
   - Supporting sales efforts by providing technical expertise and
   documentation for product demonstrations and tradeshows

*Attributes Required:*

   - Bachelors degree in a Computer Science or related discipline
   - Expert level computer programming experience with VB.NET<http://vb.net/>,
   C#, and working knowledge of C++
   - Strong mathematical, problem solving, troubleshooting and
   organizational skills
   - Strong verbal and written communication skills
   - A proven record of accomplishment with excellent references
   - Dedication to accomplishing project and corporate goals
   - Experience with scientific measurement instrumentation preferred
