SOCIAL: Looking for Financial Adviser

Also keep in mind that advisers may be fee-based (good - you're paying for
their time and expertise, like a lawyer or accountant) or paid on commission
(bad - for the reasons Manish outlined).

When I was 25, I read Personal Finance For Dummies (I worked for the Dummies
company at the time) and it was an excellent way to learn a lot more about
managing my own finances.

For people who don't have time and interest in the topic, it's reassuring to
realize that sound financial management can be a lot easier and more
straightforward that we're led to believe.

Cheers,
Kristina
