Try Googling craigslist scam and the key words that you are wondering about like "serious buyer" & "cash in hand".

I just did the same a few weeks back when getting fishy replies for my rickshaw post.  

Avoid things like "I can't see it in person" or "You need to send the shipping receipt before PayPal releases the $$$"

You are using your head so I'm sure you'll be able to separate the wheat from the LAME PARASITES.
